カタロニアの風　Catalan Winds

2023年はカタルーニャの作曲家フェデリコ・モンポウの生誕130年の年に当たります。
これを機にモンポウを回顧するコンサートを京都、神戸、そして東京の３都市で開催します。
しかしこのコンサートは単なる回顧ではありません。

モンポウは主にピアノのための作品と歌曲を残しましたが、今回のコンサートで演奏される彼のオリジナル作品はギターのための「コンポステラ組曲」のみです。
それ以外は新旧の日本人作曲家が弦楽器用に編曲した作品、そしてその中で日本を代表する作曲家のひとり、平吉毅州がモンポウやカタルーニャの地にインスパイアされて作曲した「カタロニアの風」でプログラムは構成されています。

つまりこのコンサートは、モンポウと彼を育んだカタルーニャという土地に対する日本からの眼差しを明らかにすることによって、モンポウという作曲家の普遍性を再発見するものなのです。

The year 2023 marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Catalan composer Federico Mompou.
On this occasion, a retrospective concert of Mompou's work will be held in three cities - Kyoto, Kobe and Tokyo.
But this concert is more than just a retrospective.

Mompou left mainly works for piano and songs, but the only original work of his that will be performed in this concert is the Compostela Suite for guitar.
The rest of the programme consists of arrangements for strings by Japanese composers old and new, as well as 'Catalan Wind' by one of Japan's leading composers, Takekuni Hirayoshi, who was inspired by Mompou and the Catalan region.

In short, this concert is a rediscovery of the universality of the composer by revealing the Japanese perspective on Mompou and the land of Catalonia that nurtured him.

This is a unique opportunity not to be missed.
